    8/15/19 visit. First review but not first visit.
    I love Himalayan. I'm here multiple times a year. I love introducing people to great food and this is one of the places in Lancaster I love to show people. We had excellent service with great attention to our needs.
    We ordered the Aloo Tikka Chat, Chicken Momo, Vegetable Pakora, mango chicken and chicken tikka masala. All delicious. The momo are my favorite.
    If you're new to Indian food I'd highly recommend their Monday night buffet (make a reservation- it had limited seating). Or if you're local, their Restaurant Week deal is always outstanding.

    I haven't been here in a while and I recently stopped by for the lunch buffet
    I was extremely disappointed in the lack of flavor
    Even worse, the beans were not completely cooked in the one Dahl dish offered
    Such a lack of variety
    and what happened to all the amazing flavors that made me feel it was a five-star place every time I came in?
    Please get your act together because I'd really not like to be disappointed again
    It happens again, I just don't go back

    Nice, quaint restaurant hidden in Lancaster city.   I've driven down Orange St almost daily and failed to realize Himalayan Curry & Grill was tucked in behind Rite Aid.  

    Had a 5pm reservation on Friday, and I'm glad we did, because the place fills up FAST.  Do yourself a favor, call a few days in advance to make a reservation, from what I understand, walk-ins barely seat because reservations are rarely canceled.  

    Now for the food.  I never had 'Himalayan' style food before, but I meticulously researched the menu prior to my visit so I could settle on something and not panic order (like I usually do).  Settled on Chicken Chatpata for an appetizer.  The flavor was amazing!  Had some good heat (spicy) to it and the chicken was juicy.  For my entree, I choose Chicken Biryani.  I asked for a Medium spice and that was the perfect amount.  Rice was tasty and the dish was packed with chicken.  Also got a side of garlic naan, WOW, so darn good!

    All in all food was great and service was great as well!  Plates were cleared quickly, water topped off and we were asked a few times how we enjoyed everything.  The servers really care.

    Great food and a very intimate dining room.  We have vegetarian eaters in our crew so this place is a hit with them.
